Osteoarthritis – a snapshot

Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis, with osteoarthritis of the knee occurring in five to 15 per cent of people aged 35 to 74. It is due to the deterioration of the cartilage that cushions bones in the joints. The joints most often affected are the knees, hips and fingers.
