Hobbies and interests help with recovery from anxiety by providing an outlet to focus your attention and energy on - not to mention distracting from worrying and negative thoughts.

Engaging in something that makes you feel good can really have a flow-on effect. As with exercise, it is important to start small when it comes to increasing your activity levels. How active are you at the moment? Be aware of your starting point so you can make realistic, gradual changes that can be maintained.
