Airborne Viruses Hit Plane Travellers

If you catch a plane you can also catch a cold, it seems. American scientists have found that cold germs are as much a part of flying as impossible-to-open milk containers and teeny-weeny packets of peanuts.

A study of 1,100 air travellers by Professor John Balmes and colleagues at the University of California at San Francisco, found that one-in-five passengers gets sick with a cold after flying - and that long-haul flights could involve even greater risks.
