Inhaled medications are the mainstay of treatment for asthma – there's no quicker and more effective way of delivering the medication where it is needed.

Inhaled medications are administered with special inhaler devices that are designed to deliver medication where it is needed – in the airways of the lungs. There are three main categories of inhaler medication: reliever, preventer and symptom controller.
