Just Can’t Stop: Behavioural Addiction

When you think addiction, smoking, alcohol or certain drugs probably come to mind. But what happens if you become unhealthily obsessed with an activity or behaviour?

Enthusiastic participation in a favourite activity is usually harmless and often beneficial to health and welllbeing. But if the need to participate becomes all-consuming, and leaves little time or energy for other activities, or places heavy strain on relationships with other people, it can become a very real problem.
