Knee osteoarthritis – a common concern

Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common form of arthritis and the leading cause of chronic disability and diminished quality of life among older adults. It is due to the deterioration of the cartilage that cushions bones in the joints. Our knees have to withstand a lot of punishment, so it’s no surprise they are the joints most commonly affected by OA.
