Combo Meals Combat Cholesterol

Foods such as soy protein, almonds, oats and barley may reduce cholesterol levels more effectively when eaten in combination.

Although cholesterol is required in our bodies for the production of hormones, excessive amounts are undesirable. High blood cholesterol is one of the key factors responsible for causing blockages in blood vessels, and is linked to coronary artery disease and stroke.
