Crunch On A Carrot

Parents make lots of strange claims about food. There's no way that eating bread crusts makes hair go curly … so should you believe adults when they say carrots help you see in the dark?

Well, carrots do have some connection to eyesight. The crunchy orange vegetables contain lots of vitamin A. People who don't have enough Vitamin A can experience problems with dry eyes and sometimes, blindness. So yes, carrots can help you see in the dark – and during daylight. And that's not all they can do.
