Eat Healthy & Celebrate

Celebrations – whether they are birthdays, end-of-year festivities or just family get-togethers – are generally a time when food is centre stage. While there’s no need to spoil the fun, if you’re looking for ways to help the kids celebrate and eat healthy, there are some smart strategies you can use.

Sharing great food is a wonderful way for families and friends to enjoy one another’s company and celebrate those special occasions.  But teaching kids the value of moderation, even when its party time, is a valuable lesson that will serve them for the rest of their lives. Research suggests that holidays and weekends are times when we tend to eat significantly more and, over time, this adds significantly to our waistlines.
