Exercise Can Help You Quit Smoking

Exercise can change the way the brain processes information among smokers, reducing nicotine cravings.

Exercise has been found to be an effective way to reduce cigarette cravings and the desire to smoke, without needing help from medications. Short moderate-intensity exercise bouts can reduce cravings, diminish responses to cigarette cues and increase the time between having a cigarette (Taylor et al. 2007).
