Is there any truth to the notion that lower intensity exercise actually burns more fat? Sort of.

The relationship between exercise intensity and the type of fuel our bodies use to supply energy for activity is the key point here. Converting stored fat into energy is the most efficient way our bodies have of supplying energy since there's more energy per gram of fat than per gram of carbohydrate, the other principal energy source used by muscles during exercise.
