Fit For The Job?

Is there a link between job satisfaction and fitness? Research certainly suggests this may be the case. Flexibility, for instance, may be reflected in levels of absenteeism.

Workplace fitness programs are gaining in popularity because of the potential to lower absenteeism and job turnover, and increase job productivity and morale. The percentage of worksites offering activities to promote exercise and physical fitness in the US increased from 22 per cent in 1985 to 42 per cent in 1992 (Wattles & Harris 2003).
