Lentils Better Than White Bread For Weight Loss

If you're trying to lose weight, eating lentils is better than eating white bread because of their glycaemic index.

The glycaemic index (GI) is a measure of the rate at which sugar (glucose) from food appears in the bloodstream after being digested. A high GI means the sugars from foods appear very quickly in the bloodstream and cause a rise in insulin, whereas a low GI means the sugars appear more slowly, over a longer period of time.
