Low Cal Mums Mean Fewer Boys?

British research linking mothers' diets to the sex of their babies has stirred up controversy.

While there are any number of old wives' tales on the topic of sex selection, scientists from the Universities of Exeter and Oxford have now weighed in. Results from their study, involving 740 first-time pregnant mothers in the UK, suggest that the mother’s diet around the time of conception may be able to tilt the odds of the bundle of joy being a girl or a boy.
