While it doesn't take long for your body to rediscover its dependence on nicotine, one cigarette won't undo all the hard work you've put in getting over your physical withdrawal. The impact of one smoke on your mindset, however, can be profound. So it’s critical that you recognise any negative or destructive thought patterns that arise as a result of your slip-up, and address them straight away.
