It Won't Happen To Me

Most of us are aware of the health benefits of exercise. And we know about the importance of eating healthy food. So why do so many of us find it so difficult to maintain a healthy lifestyle, especially when we are at risk of developing an illness, such as diabetes?

When you are first told you have pre-diabetes, it can come as a bit of a shock. Often, this shock is a great motivator to make changes to your diet, increase physical activity and generally look after yourself better. But as time rolls on, the shock dims, and in a busy life there are plenty of other things (work, family commitments, stress) that can take your attention away from your health.
