A smoking cessation treatment program can really help when you’re trying to quit. These programs involve taking medication, such as nicotine replacement as well as bupropion or varenicline, and brief counselling sessions, either in person, over the phone or online. Studies repeatedly show that drug-based therapies double the chance of quitting long-term, so it’s worth discussing them with your doctor.
