Depression Management

For people who have depression or are at risk of developing depression.

Depression is more than just feeling down or sad from time to time. It’s a serious illness that can happen to anyone – and taking steps to deal with it earlier rather than later is the best way to promote recovery and feel better. The great news is that depression is a treatable condition, there’s a lot of help and support available and there are many things you can do every day to feel better and to help manage your depression.

Depression Management is not designed to diagnose or treat depression, and it complements – but shouldn’t take the place of – treatment from an appropriate health professional. If you are currently taking antidepressant medication or receiving counselling, please continue to follow your doctor’s advice and adhere to your treatment plan while you work through this program.

This program can help you:

  • Identify signs and symptoms of depression
  • Learn about the treatment options for depression
  • Recognise 'mood triggers' that can make your mood worse
  • Understand how healthy lifestyle habits can help reduce and manage depression
